A police officer at Constable level lost his firearm to a clandestine who he had hosted all night long at his Mombasa house.
It is reported that the officer by the name of Wilfred Onsomu spent sweet time with the lady in question and when the time for romance started, he stashed the weapon under his pillow only to find it missing when he woke up in the morning. The woman was also missing.
The lady reportedly took advantage of the situation and stole the pistol while the man had slumbered away in his bed sheets.
Sources have further whispered to us that the policeman had even sent the lady sh 4000 to make sure the woman traveled to Mombasa to meet him.
On trying to call the lady after the incident, she had already switched off the phone and had no clue where she had run to.
“Police Constable Wilfred Onsomu of Central Police Station in Mombasa placed his pistol under the pillow during the romantic night.
“He was, however, taken aback when he woke up the following morning and found the ‘unknown lover’ had vanished with the weapon, his phone and a fare of sh 4, 000,” a witness narrated.
Though upto now it is still unclear where and how the two lovebirds met before hooking up and agreeing to meet in Mombasa, what shocked many was the fact that the man would be carried way with love to a point of losing his important work tool.
Mombasa Central Police Station is located within Mombasa CBD just behind Fort Jesus landmark which is close to Kenyatta University Hostels.
