Tuesday, October 19, 2022 –Raila Odinga’s last born daughter, Winnie Odinga, is not joining East Africa Legislative Assembly EALA.
Winnie, today Wednesday October 19, wondered when she had been nominated for the legislative role in the East Africa Assembly based in Arusha Tanzania.
In her strict-worded rebuttal, Ms Winnie noted that neither her father nor the party leadership had officially communicated to her about the position.
“I have not applied for EALA nor has any official communication come from the party,” the daughter of the Azimio coalition party divulged.
Backing her response, ODM Party Communication Director Philip Etale told a local channel that whatever news that was going around about Winnie was not true and, as a party, there was no Winnie’s name on the list of those nominated for the EALA position.
“As far as I am concerned, nominations to EALA have not been done. Thanks,” Etale reacted to the rumour.
Winnie would therefore respond that the misinformation was a pure work of a certain cabinet secretary nominee whom she alleged felt intimidated by her resilience.
