Saturday, December 10, 2022 –President William Ruto has expressed his satisfaction with the way the opposition was conducting its oversight role.
Speaking during the 18th Graduation Ceremony held at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology MMUST on Friday December 9, the head of State noted that he was happy with the Azimio group led by Raila Odinga for giving him enough space to run the country.
He noted that he was pleased with the Azimio la Umoja coalition and that Odinga’s statesmanship should be respected.
Ruto observed that it is for this reason that he has been working day and night to bring leaders from Odinga’s strongholds together despite the rivalry.
The president confessed that the former Prime Minister had given him enough room to succeed and that he would demonstrate to the populace the benefits of his leadership.
This promise saw the crowd erupt in cheers since he had caught them unawares with his remarks of good will.
President Ruto was speaking this amid rumours that he is planning to have an official opposition leader’s office put in place to check on his government’s excesses.
Word has it that Dr. Ruto and Odinga are having a secret conversation on how to unite the country.
