Ford Kenya Party Secretary General Eseli Simiyu is back to court to overthrow the ruling made today in favour of Senator Mosses Wetang’ula.
According to Dr. Simiyu, they will have to challenge the decision made today in court, and that as far as they are concerned, Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi was still the Party leader.
“We lost the preliminary objection on jurisdiction. We are appealing that. The party MUST be back to the people. The journey is unstoppable!” Eseli wrote on his twitter account.

According to the two, the today’s High Court ruling was about jurisdiction of the court to hear the matter on the legitimacy of leadership and nothing else.
They have since vowed to appeal the case through their able lawyer Otiende Amollo and that the mentioning of the case will take place on October 19th. According to Eseli.
They have also affirmed that the status quo of their party leadership remains so with Eseli as the legitimate secretary general.
But after the today’s ruling, Mr. Wetang’ula reaffirmed that he was the party leader and that both Eseli and Wamunyinyi were, as earlier announced, not officials in Ford Kenya Party.
He also thanked his supporters for standing with him all along as he fought the battle in court showing the faith they still have in him.
“May a good Samaritan remind Gov Wangamati, Hon Eseli & Hon Wamunyinyi that God does not and will never suffer from any memory loss!! Justice shall be my shield and defender. Thanks for the well wishes, prayers and support. The lion will always roar.” Wrote Wetang’ula on his twitter account.
For sometime now, Ford Kenya Party has been facing leadership huddles with two factions pulling in completely different directions and as things stand, the matter could be far from settling.
