Tuesday, December 6, 2022 –Medics in Uganda now want President Yoweri Museveni to rule them forever.
In a viral video seen on Monday December 5 afternoon, the medical practitioners clad in white hospital aprons could be seen heaping praises at the Uganda’s long-serving president whom they asked to again vie for the top seat in 2026 when the next general election will be conducted.
In the presence of the 78-year old leader who has been in power since 1986, the doctors led by Dr Samuel Odongo Oledo seemed to agree all that he(Museveni) remains the only man out of millions of Ugandans who can continue occupying the Statehouse.
The doctors representing the Uganda Medical Association (UMA) had attended a patriotism symposium in the capital, Kampala, on Saturday, December 3, 2022, when they were led by their leader to kneel before the head of State.
It is therefore not very clear whether Museveni will heed their advice or leave his son Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba to take over.
