Deputy President William Ruto was ordered to move out of a Mombasa house by the same Jubilee administration he also serves in. outrageous claims have emerged.
Mouthful Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen while speaking at Citizen TV on Jeff Koinange JKL show last Wednesday Sept 2nd, disclosed a series of problems that are bedeviling the deputy president in silence.
The former Majority leader in the Senate further went on to question on live broadcast why the Head of State would allow such things to happen to his deputy who supported him twice for two terms.
“What became of Uhuru Kenyatta that today he chased William Ruto from a house in Mombasa. He is the same person who has been ordering the skewed arrests witnessed in the country” he stated.
And when Jeff Koinange tried to find out what had happened between Uhuru and his deputy creating that bad blood, Murkomen responded by saying Uhuru was seemingly done with Ruto after winning power twice. He took an analogy of a person who uses a ladder and kicks it away after reaching the destination; what he called a ‘ladder kicking principle’.
“What is this one sin that washes away all the good things DP Ruto has done for the President. Is Uhuru applying the principle of kicking the ladder?” he asked.
Recounting what Ruto had done to Uhuru again, Murkomen wondered why it was very difficult for Kenyatta to reciprocate and support his deputy for 2022 presidency.
“He hasn’t been inviting him to very important meetings nor has he been giving him any task. Let us stop trying to hide behind diplomacy, the fact is that the President is persecuting his deputy,” Murkomen claimed.
But in an immediate rejoinder, Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi advised the likes of Murkomen not to read too much in what was happening between Uhuru and his deputy saying in politics there was no permanent enmity and that the two could shock the country when they finally bury their hatchet and come together before 2022.
Ruto and his boss Uhuru Kenyatta have had issues in their relationship since their second term.
Through David Murathe, it is clear that the president was not ready to support Ruto’s presidential ambitions citing insubordination, corruption and early campaigns.
