Former Citizen Tv news anchor Hussein Mohammed is running a consultancy firm. Details have emerged.
Information which is already in the public domain shows that the media personality landed a consultancy multimillion project fully funded by US government through the United States Agency for International Development USAID.
Mohammed and former KTN reporter Yusuf Ibrahim are partnering on the project dubbed Resilience Learning Activity RLA through their individual companies.

“We are individual consultants but we want to partner so we come up with a communication firm. We want to have a one-stop shop for everything to do with communication,” stated Ibrahim Yusuf with a hint of permanently coming together as business partners operating both in Kenya and outside.
They want to create a big consultancy brand that will specifically deal with communication matters among them- digital marketing, communication strategy and crisis communication with their client target being both private and public bodies.
Mr. Mohammed who runs Iris Media and Ibrahim who owns Ubra Media confirmed to a local news blog Kenyans.co.ke that the USAID project they are currently working on is meant to empower people at the County level especially journalists who have to learn on accurate and objective reporting.
They are currently in nine Counties including Isiolo, Marsabit, Wajir, Garissa, Taita Taveta, Makueni and Kitui with hopes to spread wings wider.
Their project will be lasting for five years while the communication bit will be continuing for the rest of time as their new launchpad career.
Mohammed and Yusuf are renowned media personalities in the country who started their TV career with major media firms in the country almost at the same time through internship.
