Monday, January 9, 2023 –City Tv Presenter, Talia Oyando, has revealed that she met her husband in a Night Club in Nairobi.
Confessing how she discreetly chased after the man until she found herself into his life, Oyando – a renowned entertainment MC – recounted how she kept coming back in the club she first met her man several times so that to get his attention.
In her previous interviews, she shared 30 instincts and journey to marriage saying she fell in love with Director Ezy at first sight and worked towards getting him closer.
“I first saw @directorezy at a club I was dragged to. He walked by and my heart kinda followed him. We didn’t speak I only stayed the whole night staring at him. Later when I was leaving I bumped into him in the parking lot he asked if I was ok and needed a ride I said I was ok & that was all. Man when I got home he is all I thought of,” she revealed.
“About a week later I decided to go to that same club hoping to bump into him and yes he was there sitting alone watching a Mayweather fight. He came to our table said hi to me then proceeded to have this long convo with maqbul they knew each other perfect. We did the whole staring at each other again and left separately,” she added.
“A week later, I was launching Rub a Dub tues he showed up but i was too nervous to talk to him even when he came to my table. At the end of the night (morning) when i was leaving the club again he asked” are u ok to drive, can i drop u home?” I said i was ok we exchanged numbers and he texted to check if i was home safe. We continued chatting all week and i invited him & friends for dinner.”
She continued; “That was our first date and that is the day we moved in together. He stayed at my place 2 months then I stayed at his 2 months & then we got our own place. He later told me how he’d been coming to the club long before i saw him just to look at me. 5 and a half years later he still makes me mad and makes me happy. We are not perfect we don’t have good days everyday this isn’t a movie we are human. We argue sometimes. But you know the song ‘I’d rather have bad times with u than good times with someone else’.”
From her days in at Homeboyz Radio, Talia famously known as ‘night nurse’ has been synonymous with night time entertainment shows and currently hosts a reggae show on Citizen Tv.
She is happily married to Ezekiel Onyango, a film and television director of whom they are blessed with one lovely kid.
