Mike Mbuvi Sonko’s life now hanging on a slim thread as the Senate constitutes an 11-member Committee to finally seal his fate.
Just like it happened to the former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu who was quickly replaced by his deputy James Nyoro, the 11 -man committee will have to first hear him before making a final judgment on the matter.
Sonko who will be required to file a defense through lawyers and in person now has a hard task ahead to prove to the Nairobians that he is actually wrongly targeted as he has been claiming through his defensive daily social media posts.
Sonko unsuccessfully fought an impeachment from his MCAs who cited gross violation of County Government rules and lack of understanding and knowhow on the part of the governor when it came to managing affairs within the city.
Dundapots.com has however learnt that the eleven senators who are supposed to hear Mr. Sonko are Uhuru/Odinga allied and this may make life even harder for the flamboyant governor. For instance the committee comprises, Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei, Charles Kibiru(Kirinyaga County), Hargura Godana( Marsabit County), Abdullahi Ali(Wajir County), Alice Milgo(Nominated), Christine Zawadi(Nominated), Okong’o Omogeni(Nyamira County), Mohamed Faki (Mombasa County), Judith Pareno (Nominated), Petronella Were(nominated) and Fred Outa(Kisumu County).
And from the look of things, this team is purely made up of ‘voting robots’ who will definitely slaughter the governor for Christmas celebrations.
