Tuesday, November 29, 2022 –African side, Senegal, has managed to move forward to the next round – of sixteen – in the ongoing World Cup competition.
This was after they beat Ecuador 2-1 bagging a decisive win that has send them to round of sixteen teams in the 2022 World Cup season.
Boulaye Dia had an open chance that he squandered early. But when it looked like the match was headed for a draw at halftime, Senegal got a penalty which Ismaila Sarr easily netted to make it 1-0 heading to the half time.
Ecuador then had an equalizer goal in the second half at around the seventieth minute from a corner kick and which was scored by Moises Caicedo.
This gave the Ecuadorian side a new hope which was sadly cut short as Senegal netted the second goal a minute later through their Captain Kalidou Koulibaly at the 70th minute.
This match was played on Tuesday November 29 at the Khalifa International Stadium.
