Wednesday, February 1, 2023 – Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has ridiculed Wafula Chebukati whoi has hired Lawyer Steve Ogolla to represent him in Court against Raila Odinga.
On Wednesday February 1 afternoon, SG Sifuna wondered how, of all the able lawyers, Chebukati only saw and picked Mr. Ogolla.
He claimed that Ogolla is only interested in Chebukati’s heavy retirement package and nothing else.
“All Steve Ogolla is doing is what lawyers do best. Helping Chebukati spend that hefty retirement package he received from the taxpayer. Save for legal fees, nothing else will come from that legal adventure,” he wrote.
He added that Ogolla is going to mint millions from the case just because Raila(the subject) is the accused in that matter.
“Lawyers charge fees based on the value of the subject matter. In Steve Ogolla’s case, the subject matter is Raila Odinga. You will struggle to find a more valuable subject matter. Let Steve make that paper,” Sifuna opined.
All through today Wednesday February 1, the city lawyer (Ogolla) has been trending on major social media platforms after he wrote a demand letter to the former premier over his claims that Chebukati and two other IEBC commissioners came to his house seeking for bribes to tilt election results.
