FORMER PREMIER RAILA Amollo Odinga has explained what he meant when he said losing in Msambweni would give BBI a problem.
In his latest live interview on KTN News last Wednesday Dec 16th, he explained this statement which has come back to haunt him after he was defeated resoundingly in Msamwbeni polls. He said what he meant was just restricted to Msambweni and not the whole country.

Odinga in his Msambweni tour to drum up support for his defeated Omar Boga, touted the by-elections as a litmus test for what will be happening in the Referendum. He has since shifted goalposts saying he was misquoted.
“I said BBI would have a problem in Msambweni, not the whole country,” stated Raila during an interview.
He took the opportunity to fault the electoral body for pushing for more funding to be able to verify the collected 4.4 signatures.
“They are in office and earning a salary every month but elections are every five years, so what is it they do in the office every day?” Odinga wondered.
He also asked why the IEBC wanted money to verify the signatures saying they need to use whatever resources they have to carry out the exercise or leave office.
