Deputy President William Ruto is now on a fishing expedition in Raila’s Nyanza Region.
Reports reaching Dundapost.com desk show that the Second in Command is expected to make another major stop in Kisumu next week just a week after he had another successful tour in the area much perceived to be Odinga’s stronghold.
Sources have pointed out how his new pointman Eliud Owalo is, day and night, laying a breeding ground for Ruto followers with many youths now seemingly gravitating towards the DP whom they claim is more accessible than Raila Odinga’s ODM party.
Owalo just ditched ODM, went to vie for Kibra seat on an ANC ticket before he was poached by marauding pocket of Dr. William Ruto whom he is now busy selling across the Nyanza region and its environs.
Mr. Owalo led a huge delegation of youth from Siaya and Kisumu Counties to Ruto’s residence last Monday.
Our sources have also singled out former Trade Unionist and Industrialization executive Richard Ogendo as another strong pointman on the ground from Nyanza.
Ruto is bankrolling two groups which are busy selling his agenda in Nyanza and these are Nyanza Youth Movement for Ruto 2022 and Nyanza Young Aspirants Movement for William Ruto 2022.
It is expected that when he(Ruto) touches down in Kisumu next week, the two groups will make a major crowd contribution on receiving him.
“We want the Hustler to know that we are behind him and we are glad he honoured our invitation. We have been holding meetings to plan for the visit,” said Mr John Odenyo, the secretary of the Nyanza Youth Movement for Ruto 2022.
According to him, many youth now identify with the DP more than they do with the old guards in ODM
Mr. Odinga will therefore have to go back to the drawing board so that to stop the ever swelling Ruto wave which is eating into his main bedrooms every day.
