Monday, June 20, 2022 –Deputy President William Ruto has today met with Minority group living in the vote-rich Rift Valley Region.
The Monday June 20 meeting held in Njoro Nakuru County saw Ruto share a word with post election victims who had been mobilized by grassroots leadership.
Ruto told them that he will not want to see another post poll violence erupt in the Region like it was in 2007 and 2008.
“I asked myself, the way Kenyan politics is structured after 2007 and the problem was when the politics get to where it got, it is the Rift Valley people who get political problems. I sat down with Uhuru and we agreed,” he observed.
Our sources told us that, at that point, the second in command quickly changed the topic and chased away reporters before continuing with the meeting.
“Do we still have media houses here? You people get out we discuss important things,” the DP stated.
Those who accompanied him include his running mate Rigathi Gachagua, National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, Bahati lawmaker Kimani Ngunjiri and Nakuru senatorial aspirant Tabitha Karanja among a few others.
