Friday, October 14, 2022 –President William Ruto had to recall staff and a few officers working at the late President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi so that to redeploy them.
In a report run by the Nation today Friday October 14, Ruto also directed that all the State cars which were still in possession of the family be taken back to government..
Also the staff who have been recalled will be send to various state offices so that to serve the country in other capacities.
Essentially, what Ruto has just done is to implement what his former boss Uhuru Kenyatta had failed to do during his tenure despite the fact that Moi’s family only had two years grace period to hand over the staff and cars back to the government.
The publication reported that, until their recall, the officers were working at the President Moi’s Kabarak Farm. The team involved people who did different tasks among them were security officers, chefs, gardeners, waitresses, waiters and cleaners.
Some of the officers have now been redeployed to help President Ruto in the Statehouse during his 10-year term.
Currently, Moi home will now remain as a national monument since it houses his resting place and, therefore, need to categorize it under the National Heritage.
