Saturday, January 21, 2023 –Uhuru Kenyatta cousin Mr. Kungu Muigai, is the latest to land a major role in Kenya Kwanza government.
President William Ruto appointed Muigai as the new Chairperson of the Kenya Cultural Center Council KCCC.
Muigai, a retired army captain, was Gazzeted in a notice shared on Saturday January 21 by the Statehouse through Spokesperson Hussein Mohammed.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 (1) of the Kenya Cultural Centre Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and the Arts appoints Kungu Muigai to be a member and Chairperson of the Board of the Kenya Cultural Centre Council.
“This will be for a period of two (2) years, with effect from January 20, 2023,’ partly read the statement.
Muigai, all through, was in support of William Ruto’s wing despite Uhuru Kenyatta being in power for 10 years.
And he now joins the long list of loyalist being rewarded by the current president.
