Socialite Senator Millicent Omanga is now a rich young mother whose life now rotates around tours, money, choppers and politics.
When everyone else was rushing with time to change notes into new currency, for Omanga she allegedly forgot some in her house.
Political scientists will tell you that she was brought out of poverty by Deputy President William Ruto who brought her to a sudden meteoric rise to power.
Ruto first helped her to be part of the Board Members at KeGen before he also helped her join their party campaigns in 2013 and 2017. She would later be nominated as a Senator.
With fortunes coming one after another, the former Kawangware dweller, started building her company, qualified for multi-million State tenders through her Milways Enterprises which had started to cut heavy deals with the government due to her deep networks. Her clienst base has been made up of purely city businessmen, politicians and diplomats.
She is now a sole owner of the company that deals with Interior Decor, Construction, Landscaping and Import of Furniture.
“I used to bargain with the Asian shopkeeper for a good price that could ensure I got a profit when I resold the sheets later. Today, I am a CEO of a big, nationwide company,” Omanga revealed in a past sit-down with media.
She has been on record claiming that she used to do hawking of bed sheets around Kawangware.
