Deputy President William Ruto and his nemesis Raila Amollo Odinga failed to identify each other in their Mashujaa Day speeches held at Gusii Stadium in Kisii County.
When Mr. Odinga took to podium for address the gathering, he recognized President Uhuru Kenyatta, ambassadors, the foreign community, governors and fellow leaders but never talked about DP William Ruto who was sitting on the front raw close to him.
Odinga mainly centered his 7 minute speech on unity of the nation with Building Bridges Initiate BB Gospel making part of his main conclusion.
He mentioned that the BBI train was moving well until Coronavirus hit the country but that they are set to resume campaigns in short while. “No body can stop reggae” Odinga said as he took back to his seat.
And when the DP stood to speak, he also refused to recognize the former premier and jumped quickly to other guests.
And in conclusion of his short speech, he responded to Odinga’s unstoppable BBI calls saying this will only be held after a robust discussion with every Kenyan.
