Friday, January 6, 2023 –President William Ruto has issued a directive to all ministries asking them to have a time frame for projects.
Ruto, who was addressing the Cabinet during their first day Nyeri retreat on Friday January 6, said that he now wants at most one-year timeframe for all important projects.
During his speech, the head of State said some projects needed as short period as three- or six-months’ timeline.
“We expect timelines on our manifesto. When are you going to finish these programmes and actualise these commitments?
“Be it in three months, six months and one year we should have a picture of how things look,” he directed.
The president observed that he has a contract with the people of Kenya and which has to be fulfilled within the shortest time possible.
His target is to address the cost of living with a lasting solution, health sector, security and education.
“I expect to see CSs work beyond the villages. I expect to see the CSs in Turkana and other places. We must appreciate Kenya and what it looks like,” he stated.
President Ruto also launched a paperless Cabinet meeting propgramme that will see Cabinet interactions done virtually to make administrative work a lot easier.
