Wednesday, May 11, 2022 –Both Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang’ula have to deliver 70 percent votes from Western Region to bag top positions in their coalition.
Citizen Tv on Wednesday May 11 night reported the power structure in Kenya Kwanza which stated that once DP Ruto wins office from August 9, he will issue an express executive order that will see Amani National Congress ANC Party leader appointed to the office of Prime Cabinet Secretary.
His friend, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula, will be appointed National Assembly Speaker in the Kenya Kwanya power structure.
“The Ruto ‘Executive Order’ EXCLUSIVE: Kenya Kwanza power structure revealed ‘Prime Cabinet Secretary’ to be created for Mudavadi. Wetang’ula proposed for Nat’l Assembly Speaker. Amason Kingi promised position of Senate Speaker. Mudavadi, Wetangula ‘to deliver 70% of Western’” Jeff Koinange of Citizen Tv read the news.
Reacting to the development, Azimio chief spokesman Prof. Makau Mutua wondered how the Kenya Kwanza team was busy distributing power among themselves when they rejected BBI on similar grounds.
“ABSENTEE DP @WilliamsRuto and the UDA cartel once again confirm why they CANNOT be trusted, and mustn’t be elected. Now, they’ve introduced the BBI-type offices they rejected to share among themselves. Liars, hypocrites, DISSEMBLERS, cheats, and frauds. Shame on the whole lot!” he tweeted.
Journalist David Makali also expressed concerns with the deal questioning what happens should Mudavadi and Wetang’ula not deliver the 70 percent vote count from their region.
Qn: what if @MusaliaMudavadi/@Wetangulam @governorkingi /@DrAlfredMutua and their parties don't meet the targets but @WilliamsRuto still wins the Presidency? How come these political agreements are never really watertight despite the galaxy of lawyers involved in drafting them? https://t.co/AO9SDkh8Be
