Tuesday, November 15, 2022 –Members of the public have ganged up against Senator Samson Kiprotich Cherargei after he appeared to be complaining about his lost side mirror.
The William Ruto’s ally, on Tuesday November 15 afternoon, went public about the rate of insecurity in the city after a thug broke and took off with his car’s mirror on a traffic jam.
“A fortnight ago I lost left- side mirror of my car while stuck on traffic along Valley Road being removed forcefully by a thug. Nairobi is now a crime city & a gangs haven. The security lapse across the nation must be addressed immediately by re-organisation of security sector,” he wrote.
But Kenyans seemed not happy with his statement since he is part of the current government and should instead be reporting the plans government has put in place to restore order.
“You can’t be complaining like an ordinary Kenyan, you should be informing us the steps you are taking in ensuring that police are addressing insecurity bana,” Dennis Maina
Another user by the name Truth Seeker wondered how a man who is both armed and with bodyguards manning him 24/7 can be crying; what about ordinary citizens.
“Where were your armed bodyguards? Wewe kama Senator ukija ku-lament hapa unasaidia raia na nini? Have you initiated moves to summon the IG of police to explain what he’s doing?” Truth Seeker attacked.
The level of insecurity in Nairobi has risen in the recent days with knife-wielding gangs robbing, stabbing and killing at will both during the day and night.
