Tuesday, December 6, 2022 –Raila Odinga’s last born daughter, Winnie Odinga, has broken her silence over her choice to snub President William Ruto’s invite at Statehouse recently.
In a meeting organized on Monday December 5 in Nairobi, conspicuously missing in the picture was Ms Winnie Odinga who was busy on something else.
From a series of photos shared on statehouse wall, all MPs honoured the invitation except Winnie Odinga. Kalonzo Musyoka’s son Kennedy Musyoka was also present.
“The president used the opportunity asked Kenya’s representatives to the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) to focus on trade and investment in the region,” Statehouse reported.
Defending the action, Suna East Member of parliament MP Junet Mohamed tweeted that Winnie was busy planning for Wednesday December 7 Kamukunji rally.
“She is preparing for the Kamukunji meeting,” said Junet Mohamed.
Winnie, according to political pundits, is key in continuing with the legacy of her father in Kenya’s politics and must therefore be instrumental in any meeting intended by the father.
Raila, just the other, day prepared his supporters to be ready to hold a huge assembly at Kamukunji Grounds to discuss governance and the state of the country.
