Raila Amollo Odinga’s party ODM has reacted to their embarrassing loss in the just concluded Msambweni Constituency mini-poll.
Odinga’s party whose flag-bearer Omar Boga lost to a less known Feisal Abdallah has accepted the defeat terming it their ‘shortcoming’.
ODM had fronted Mr. Boga to reclaim the seat that belonged to their man Suleiman Dori who died a few months ago.

Speaking a few hours after suffering the humiliating defeat, ODM Party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna appeared to thank the winner who is now the MP-elect Msamwbeni, Feisal Bader Abdallah.
“Congratulations to all winners in yesterday’s by elections especially @TheODMparty Candidates in Kisumu North and Dabaso Wards. We came up short in Msambweni and Wundanyi /Mbale but we regroup and forge ahead. Thanks to all our teams everywhere for the great effort,” Sifuna tweeted.

He however used the same space to congratulate their other wins in other parts of the country saying that was hope for their party which is planning to regroup and correct their few mistakes.
Feisal who won the Msambweni seat is an independent candidate with support from Tangatanga wing. It is therefore a big win for DP William Ruto who is planning to take-on the ‘Dynasty’ in the next general elections.
