LUO ELDERS THROUGH THE LEADERSHIP OF Oburu Odinga today paid a visit to Mt. Kenya region to hold talks with their Central Kenya new friends.
Among those who accompanied him is Siaya Senator James Orengo who met with their Mt. Kenya friends in an event held at Kieni in Nyeri County.
They discussed among other things, 2022 politics, Building Bridges Initiative agenda and the new friendship between Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
This comes as reports indicate that Odinga is expected to visit the region early 2021 to further cement their friendship ahead of 2022 race.
In the Mt. Kenyan group that attended that event were Kieni legislator Kanini Kega, and Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi.
“It is not true to say that an expanded Executive featuring a Prime Minister and two deputies was invented by Kenyatta.”
“Kibaki had the same plans in 1997 while running for office,” Governor Muriithi stated as MP Kanini Kega said:
“We know that the road ahead is bumpy. When we reach the cruising level, all will be smooth”.
On his part, Raila’s brother Oburu said by the two communities coming together, there will be prosperity in the country due to existing peace.
He also took the chance to ask Mt. Kenya people to start changing their attitude towards Raila Odinga and his Luo supporters.
