Monday, March 13, 2023 –Kenyans continued to ask questions after photos showing two men handcuffed and surrounded by police officers emerged in another photo, murdered.
Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly MCA Robert Alai shared images of the two middle-aged men alive with police manning them before shortly sharing another photo in which the two men were dead on the ground.
“Hey @WilliamsRuto I thought you reformed DCI? It’s still the same or even worse? I have experienced the same,” he captioned the photos on Sunday March 12.
He also went ahead to make more wild claims that the police in the vicinity may have executed the two for political reasons.
“We hear that there is a video where these two were saying “Ruto Must Go.” This is an execution which DCI must investigate and deliver on. DCI boss should be fired. This is wrong. Probably NOT THUGS,” the MCA-cum-blogger Alai further claimed.
And according to one Kiprono, the DCI deleted the photos after erroneously sharing the two images in which the victims were alive and, in another, dead.
“DCI handle deleted this because a picture of them alive, detained handcuffed and surrounded by police officers surfaced. How they ended up dead is a mystery,” Kiprono claimed while sharing the disturbing images.
The DCI official handle, according to a screenshot shared by Kiprono, linked the death of the duo to mob justice.
