Monday, November 14, 2022 –Female online reporter at SPM, Lizz Jackson, has explained the circumstances under which she ended up exchanging contacts with Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary, Dr. Alfred Mutua.
The viral journalist on Sunday November 13 explained that Dr. Mutua did not ask for her contacts but it was the other way around after a short chat.
She has explained that he spoke to several other journalists after the Statehouse event in which President William Ruto and South African Cyril Ramaphosa held a joint presser.
Ms Jackson, while trying to fight the gossip, said Mutua turned towards the media and said hello to everyone else and when he got to her, he told her that she had asked a very good question.
“I used that opportunity and asked him whether we could have an exclusive interview and he agreed and gave me his phone number,” Liz explained.
Her question in the event was about arts and culture and what someone in the event did not like but Mutua fell in love with the question because he is a filmmaker.
“I had second thoughts about the relevance of my question because I asked about music and art and the CS is a filmmaker. That could be why he turned,” the journalist further stated.
And according to Liz, 23, Mutua’s gesture restored some confidence and hope in her to carry on with her media profession.
