Uganda’s presidential candidate Roberet Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine has been arrested in Luuka District.
The National Unity Platform NUP Party leader who on Wednesday was pounced on by law enforcers while on his presidential campaign tour ahead of the forthcoming Uganda elections, has been making headlines with his huge crowds he always pulls whenever he is campaigning.
“Thank you Iganga for braving the intimidation, the beatings, the harassment, the teargas, the bullets & coming in large numbers to show the whole world that you’re ready to remove the dictator with us. Please do the same come voting day. Next stop; Bugiri,” he thanked supporters.
Musician-turned-politician Bobi Wine whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi is the most fierce rival to Ugandan siting president Yoweri Museveni who has ruled Ugandans for more than 30 years making most of Ugandas born during his tenure beleive there law does not allow any other person to be a president.
Several attempts by Opposition leader Kizza Bysigye to remove Museveni from power fell on deaf ears as the president kept arresting and torturing him alongside his supporters till he threw in the towel.
Today young force Bobi Wine whose supporters have been killed by the bullet and some left with fatal lifetime injuries is upbeat of wrestling the African only remaining Dictator Museveni out of power.
With everyone now focusing their eyes on what is happening in Uganda ahead of the elections, some sections now thin it was time Museveni left power to give Ugandans some hope through fresh leadership.
“When I was still in school I was told Africa is the cradle of mankind but after I left school to start life, I realised Africa is where man is oppressed and tortured even when seeking for their rights. God is watching….,”Justo Oyolo stated on Facebook.
Other Ugandans thought it will be hard for Museveni to leave power voluntarily hence need to find most appropriate alternative to eject him back home. Watch scenes-
