Wednesday, October 5, 2022 –Government of Uganda has published an official apology to the people of Kenya.
Today Wednesday August 5 afternoon, Ugandan head of State noted with concerns that whatever his son, now a full four star general, had said against Kenya remains regrettable.
Museveni also added that it was erroneous for any State officer to declare war before consulting widely with the siting president or Parliament.
“Dear Ugandans, the brotherly people of Kenya, and all East Africans. I greet all of you. I ask our Kenyan brothers and sisters to forgive us for the tweets sent by General Muhoozi,” he noted.
Such declarations or operations can only be sanctioned by him or the Parliament and urged their neighbours to always disregard such recklessness.
He, therefore, urged his counterparts in Kenya to disregard his son’s actions and remain united for the sake of peace in the continent.
President Museveni said this today despite having elevated the son to a higher army rank just hours after he(the son) threatened to invade Kenya.
