Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok is on the spot over the multi-million office he built in the county despite residents lacking basic amenities.
Homa Bay Town Legislator Peter Opondo Kaluma of Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party has taken a swipe at the leader for putting his comfort before the interests of locals.
“Those among them who are not thieves get priorities upside down. How do you explain this Turkana County Headquarters?” he posed.

He called out the Governor for getting his priorities upside down despite having been elected now twice.
Just like many other governors, Kaluma noted with concern that Mr. Nanok was misusing public money to achieve his own selfish agendas and to accomplice his own mission. He further said through such unnecessary projects, the governors find a safe way of looting public taxes through sexed up prices and contractor kickbacks.
Governor Nanok also served as the Council of Governors Chairman for two years before he passed the button to the next person.
Turkana County is among the rich counties in terms of natural resources but with so many poor persons.
