Rift Valley fierce politician has urged the State to immediately start monitoring every move made by Deputy President William Ruto.
Micah Kigen who is the Orange Democratic Movement Elgeyo Marakwet branch Chairman noted that the DP’s recent utterances and movements could trigger a very bad tribal animosity in this country.
Terming Ruto’s chest thumbing type of politics as too scary and especially at the time the country was headed for a referendum and general 2022 elections, Kigen said, police should henceforth keep an eye on Ruto and his team.
“We need to understand and even call upon the security of this country to beef up security and make sure that every move of the deputy president is checked because our president is not safe,” said Kigen.

That Ruto’s recent confidence coupled with abrasive type of politics characterized by roadside chest thumbing public speeches cuts an image of a wounded lion ready to fight back to ascend to power.
“His allies have been talking directly to the president, abusing his family and If you look at the deputy president in the eye and listen to the way he addresses issues, he is a very bitter man and such a bitter man can do anything…he can take a short cut,” he added.
Micah, a known Rift Valley veteran political figure who has attempted not once to run for Keiyo South Parliamentary seat, further, mentioned that the combative style the DP was exhibiting was going to pose a threat to rival groups in the area and he ought to be quickly dealt with in equal force.
“I want to tell the president today that this deputy president is up to mischievous kind of thing, if he is going to remain the DP then our president is not safe,”Kigen said.
According to the ODM official, Ruto’s continuous use of the term ‘political conman’ was an indirect reference to the president who has since disowned him due to what political pundits have termed ‘distrust’ between the two.
He also revisited the recent utterances made by the likes of MP Oscar Sudi and his Emurua Diokir MP Ng’eno against the first family as some of the sure tell tell signs about what Ruto was thinking of the Kenyattas.
And though Ruto allies have already explained why the DP boycotted the recent State function on Covid-19, Kigen holds the thought that Ruto felt guilty appearing infront of the president because of the things he has been saying against him.
