Embakasi residents woke up on bad news of destruction of all the Deputy President William Ruto’s recent donations.
The destruction, according to our sources on the ground, was perpetrated by people opposed to DP’s inroads in the area where he has been meeting poor youths with goodies like wheelbarrows, car wash machines, water tanks etc.
Washing machines, plastic water tanks among other items worth millions and which were recently donated by the DP were all reduced to pieces and rubble by a bulldozer igniting some tension in the area.
Angry youths then took to the streets to demonstrate over the crashing as the Embakasi West MP George Theuri linked the destruction to his political opponents from the area.
He took to his Facebook page to rant on the happenings saying he was being targeted for accepting Dr. Ruto’s genuine donations.
“People don’t have to suffer because of my unwavering support to the Hustler Nation. Why do you have to destroy hustle za wazee. This is all political. I am being targeted because of accepting donations from Dr. William Ruto. Its too sad?” he reacted.
Youths who were affected, on their part, linked the destruction to the newly formed Nairobi Metropolitan Service NMS saying it was wrong for it to destroy their livelihood when they had just come from reforms the other day.
The distressed youths narrated how they had reformed from criminal behaviors so as to gain an honest living but it is quite unfortunate they were now being punished for political reasons.
