Tuesday, June 21, 2022 –The nomination of Martha Karua to be Raila Odinga’s running mate complicated the chances of Deputy President William Ruto’s winning power.
Tujibebe Party leader William Kabogo explained this today Tuesday June 21 while appearing on NTV morning show where he took issue with their Kenya Kwanza leadership.
Asked of William Ruto-Rigathi Gachagua ticket, Mr. Kabogo said he has never supported that pair from day one and that is why he was not part of the ceremony which was held in Karen.
“To be frank, three issues that are eating into KKA in Mt Kenya: nomination of Karua, settling on Gachagua and the emergence of Wajackoya. Things are no longer the same. We are staring at a round two of presidential vote (after none of the four—together with Mwaure Waihiga of the Agano Party) fail to garner 50 plus one percent of the validly cast votes,” Kabogo said.
The Kiambu County gubernatorial candidate detailed how Karua had since gobbled 4 percent of Ruto’s Mt Kenya votes with the number still rising by day what must be of concern for the DP.
The politician also took issue with the ongoing wrangles in their Kenya Kwanza alliance saying Ruto and Gachagua had decided to conspire to undermine fringe parties especially from the ‘Mountain’.
