High handed Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha is trending for the wrong reasons now for the second day.
On Friday November 6th, the CS who was touring Uasin Gishu County for inspection of facilities there, went to Langas Primary School based in Eldoret before the unexpected happened.
Magoaha, through a video doing rounds on social media, launched a scathing verbal attacks on a senior grey haired citizen for poor work done at school.
“The situation on the ground is not good,” the CS scoffed at the education official as the whole school looked at the scenes from a distance.
Efforts to try to respond to the CS in good faith were fruitless as the visibly angry Magoha silenced the old man with one bullet.
“I am not talking about a report, I am talking about what is here on the ground,” Prof Magoha retorted adding:
“If I say you are a fool would I be lying? Wewe ni mjinga kabisa(You are a fool go away),” Prof Magoha went on as the old man tiptoed away.
This far, Magoha has been viewed as a very arrogant leader with online CIDs now calling for President Uhuru Kenyatta to take an immediate action before the education sector goes down again.
“One day Magoha will be brought down by this hubris. Bure kabisa,” one user Lucia complained as another stated that, despite the CS being under pressure, there is need to be considerate while dealing with his juniors. There was a better way of doing this.
