Cherengany MP Joshua Kutuny and Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege are on the spot over alleged sanitization of Covid-19 billionaires.
Since the start of the probe into the multimillion scandal that saw the Kenyan Medical Supplies Authority KEMSA lose huge sums of money through dubious tenders, Health Committee Chairlady Sabina Chege has been handling the matter with a suspicious soft touch.
Due to that, both Chege and MP Joshua Kutuny have since been put on the spot by fellow MPS for their suspicious conduct and pampering of suspects while handling the matter during their committee sittings.
Today Friday Nov 27th, Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa dug deep into their mischievous conduct what led to a lengthy verbal altercation between him and Mr. Kutuny who unleashed a barrage of attacks in retaliation.
“I first saw a lot of optimism in Kutuny and Sabina Chege’s led team…but when one reads this report, its very disappointing. Instead of naming the less than three-month old companies that were registered and given tenders, they are sanitizing them!
“We want the companies to be shamed and blacklisted from doing business with government. Why is the committee shying away from shaming them?” Wamalwa started.
He added that what would be important was to name call and shame all the illegal businesses that acquired tenders without meeting constitutional threshold what triggered Kutuny to immediately take him on.
“My friend has taken this opportunity to settle the local political differences because he knows I have managed him well on the ground. He pretends he can be the governor for Trans Nzoia so he wants to use this platform to smear dirt on me” stated MP Kutuny.
He went on to warn Chris against bringing into the House their village political differences and further threatened to make sure he(Chris) will not make to become next Trans Nzoia governor
MP Kutuny who is part of the Health Committee insisted that the graft matter at KEMSA will be concluded by the DCI and EACC and that any business entity found culpable of looting public coffers will be punished on banished.
