Friday, October 21, 2022 –Azimio la Umoja’s deputy Martha Karua now says one day the seven Supreme Court judges will tell why why they supported a bungled election.
Speaking on BBC’s today Friday October 21 morning, the yet to heal Narc Kenya Party leader noted that Azimio la Umoja won the election but courts working together with the electoral body decided to deny them the victory.
“The result was in our favor. It was flipped at the Bomas, and the court upheld it,” she argued saying this will one day come to haunt the orchestrators.
She supported her claim by recounting how Chief Justice Martha Koome, despite the contrary ruling, posed that question to IEBC’s lawyer during the hearing session.
CJ Koome, while seeking to understand why the results suddenly stopped streaming on the large screen at the Bomas, said this left the entire nation in complete confusion.
Karua also reiterated that she is yet to recognize the current regime which she described as ‘a forced one’ to the people of Kenya.
“The law recognizes him (Ruto). But not me,” she stated on the interview.
Karua, who vied as Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s running mate in the August 9 polls, confirmed the stance during an exclusive interview on the BBC today.
