Tuesday, June 28, 2022 -A young man who had stolen sh 300,000 from a local hardware located at Kondele Market in Kisumu Town brought it back to the owner.
The worker aged 22 years had stolen the cash from the shop drawer where he works as a cashier following wrong advice from his peers.
The plan was that after stealing the cash, he was supposed to flee the area back to his home in Webuye Bungoma County. His poor plans, however, could not go far as he couldn’t have peace of mind for the two days he was holding the stolen money.
Interestingly, just before the third day could start and end, the young man was spotted at the hardware’s gate helplessly gasping for oxygen as he crawled with the cash back to the owner.
Additionally, he was mooing like a ‘grade cow’ and staggering like a drunk person until he reached the counter where he had stolen the money from. He did this as his boss watched the drama from the comfort of his chair.
Shortly, he (hardware owner) called a traditional doctor who picked the money from the boy, sprinkled some liquid on his face using a short fly whisk as he uttered some words which could not be understood easily.
We would later learn that the doctor is one of the most powerful native healers who also pray for patients and who can catch cheating partners, increase business luck and job promotions.
