LUGARI EX-MP CYRUS JIRONGO allegedly hit and ran over bodaboda rider and his passenger before dumping them.
Activist Boniface Mwangi took to his Tweeter handle to blow this message out after a concerned Kenyan sent him full details of the accident that occurred in Runda Estate Nairobi at the T-Junction.
Sharing the sad story in a blow by blow account, Mwangi noted that the victim by the name of Benedict Muna who was being ferried on a bodaboda which belonged to Peter Kariuki were both hit by Cyrus Jirongo’s car on that fateful Saturday of December 19th.
He further claimed that the former Presidential candidate looked so much intoxicated when he caused the accident.
According to the post, he was speeding around a bend without indicating the direction lamps to alert other road users of where he was heading.
“Jirongo was dead drunk. He was supposed to buy him(rider) the prescribed medicine but he hasn’t. He was also supposed to compensate the rider which he has not,” Mwangi wrote.
The rider who sustained serious injuries was then rushed to Guru Nanak Hospital in Ngara Nairobi.
