Sunday, December 11, 2022 –Young single mother who sunk into depression after losing son in a construction site accident a month ago has committed suicide.
Ms Cecy Gaitho, in November, posted a brief message on her wall to share the sad news of her son passing away. It said nothing more than that.
It would later emerge that the young child succumbed to internal bleeding injuries after being hit by a culvert which a construction company was installing in their area.
Since the accident, life was never the same. The academic writer expressed how life had drastically changed since the child’s passing on.
“I’ve had a hard time dealing with the loss, and I keep glancing outdoors in the hopes that you’ll return. The emptiness I feel is great, and tears have become my daily food,” she wrote.
Cecy continued by saying that the day her kid passed away, a greater part of her perished, and that her biggest wish was to wake up one day and find the son at the gate.
She detested the very concept of her existence while her kid lay six feet under, making it plain that the emptiness in her heart was too much to handle.
“I miss you so terribly, baby. The world to me was you. I don’t have anything left to live for anymore,” she also wrote.
Her efforts to get compensated for the loss of her child by the construction company whose culvert killed the boy bore no fruits. She had to give up anyway.
