Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has laughed off rumours that he is positioning to succeed the late Machakos Senator Biniface Kabaka.
Speaking yesterday while at Lee Funeral Home, the vocal politician made it clear that he was past senatorial seat and that it is until 2022 when he will announce the ‘big seat’ he will be vying.

“It is inappropriate for people to start showing interest in replacing the deceased. That time will come but for now, let us support the family.
“I have said and I want to repeat again that I am done with Senate politics. When the time comes (2022) I will go for a higher position and not the Senate.
“I have received calls asking if I am interested and all I can say is I am done with that position,” Muthama stated.
According to Mr. Muthama who is now a supporter of DP William Ruto, some ill minded persons were already positioning themselves to succeed the late who is yet to be buried.
He further noted that it was very wrong for someone to start campaigning for a seat which was yet to be declared vacant by the Senate.
