Thursday, October 6, 2022 –As the High Court revived ex-MP Amos Kimunya case, Ferdinand Waititu’s sh 588 million fraud case was dropped.
The Milimani High Court in Nairobi today Thursday October 6 revived Kimunya’s sh 60 million case which he had been acquitted.
This ruling overturned an earlier decision by the anti-corruption Court that had acquitted the politician of any fraud-related charges which included illegal transfer of a piece of land.
In the case, the former Kipipri Member of Parliament had been accused of six counts of abuse of power in which he illegally allocated land to a private developer.
But as this was going on, Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu was granted a reprieve in his sh 588 million fraud case.
The case was dropped after the prosecution failed to table enough evidence. The Court argued.
