ORANGE DEMOCRATIC MOVEMENT PARTY and their Jubilee counterparts are yet to seal a deal for Nairobi seat which was recently left vacant.
Despite the two having shown interest in fielding common candidates so that they can win the race, Jubilee has already picked their preferred men while Odinga’s party has also remained defiant of their choice of candidates.
It is now rumoured that the two parties are in a secrete tussle as to who should be the governor and who should deputize.
Uhurus’ Jubilee Party has already cleared former Dagoretti Sounth MP Dennis Waweru and Ms. Agnes Kagure while ODM is pushing for Beth Syengo and Mr. Sam Wakiaga to replace Sonko in the next race.
Just a few days ago, the Registrar of political parties cleared the candidature of former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu who now remains with a further final clearance from anti-graft agencies to be able to vie for the seat.
Thirdway Alliance, on the other hand, has shown interest in fielding exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna whom they think is the best man to wrestle the rest in the February 18 city race.
“It is therefore a great honor for Thirdway Alliance Kenya, to unveil Dr. Miguna Miguna as its Candidate for this by-election.”
This verdict has however been contested by embattled party leader Ekuru Aukot.
