Sunday, January 8, 2023 –President William Ruto has settled the entire hospital bill left behind by the fallen celebrated media personality, Catherine Kasavuli.
Kasavauli, who passed on a few days ago while under treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital KNH following a long battle with Cervical Cancer, had left behind a huge medical bill which the family was struggling to foot.
Her son Martin Kasavuli told media that her departed mother left a hospital bill amounting to sh 4 million and asked well-wishers to come in with any support.
But on the burial day, service organizing secretary, Jacob Kuria, said the Head of State had settled the entire bill and that there was nothing more to worry about anymore.
“Great thanks to our President @WilliamsRuto who has waived the hospital bill incurred by my colleague Katherine Kasavuli. May her soul continue to rest in peace,” Kuria said.
Before her death, Ms Kasavuli had made a comeback to television screens after KBC hired her among other veteran journalists to make the media house competitive with the rest.
