Sunday, January 8, 2023 –Jackton Odhiambo, has confessed killing LGBTQ activist Edwin Chiloba and later dumping his remains in metal box 20 kilometers away.
The partner who also resides in Eldoret, where he does freelance photographing, has told the Eldoret police that he had to eliminate Chiloba after he learnt of his cheating habits.
Langas OCPD John Odhiambo confirmed to the media that the suspect who is currently in police custody opened up on what led to the death of his close partner roommate and business associate.
The suspect added that, together with two other friends, they agreed to murder Chiloba and dump his lifeless body in metal box full of women’s clothing then take it 20 kilometers away from from where they lived.
In that regard, detectives fetched from Eldoret station launched a targeted manhunt in search of the two others who were still at large.
Chiloba’s death remained the discussion of town more so after a CCTV footage emerged in which he was happy reveling with friends among them the prime suspect.
The group was happily dancing in a night club all grabbing expensive drinks in their hands and smiling to the cameras; only for Chiloba to be found dead next morning.
