Citizens Tv’s Willis Raburu led a huge delegation of top Gengetone artists to Machakos County festival that terribly failed.
Together with Genge godfather Juacali, Mejja, Mbongi Genje, Sailors, Ethic among many other top names, Raburu had high hopes that the highly publicized event would attract huge masses of youths from Nairobi and Machakos what turned out to be a complete opposite.
The Tv personality had marketed the event on Tv screens especially Citizen during his last two 10 over 10 segments asking their fans to support them by turning out in large numbers but this eventually did not work.
It was premium tears for the artists when all these tactics failed to pull the needed results which would have seen them earn some money at the end.
Photos doing round on social media platforms shows the rappers struggling to entertain just a handful of fans who managed to show up.
“Wooi, hakuna watu. Pole Willis kwa kuimbia nyasi tu” one user remarked while another said Willis can do very well on Tv doing “serious things not this childish”.
And whether the Machakos Peoples’ Park event failed due to Covd-19 reasons, it is not yet clear but it goes without mentioning that Raburu who had even changed his hairstyle was not a happy man and was overheard saying “music is hard”. See the heartbreaking photos-
