Embattled Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko is now regretting joining Kenya’s toxic politics.
The governor, while venting his frustrations on social media on Friday Sept 11th, appeared to term this move as the biggest mistake he ever did to himself.
“I swear I regret joining politics.”
“It was one of the worst decisions I have ever made.”
“As I retire to bed, I pray that God forgives me of the ignorance that led me to abandon his people in the wilderness after being forced by circumstances.”
“Lord forgive me.”
“Tomorrow lies in your hands and because you live I can courageously forge forward,” Sonko wrote.
So far Mr. Sonko is fighting several court cases among them the sh 357 million graft case, and to make it worse, the Director of Public Prosecution DPP rejuvenated the case adding an extra charge what will require him to take fresh plea in court.
Noordin Haji amended his charge sheet adding an abuse of office charge to the list of crimes committed by Mr. Sonko who is currently out of place.
After signing off several important city functions, Sonko was left licking his wounds as new Nairobi Metropolitan Services NMS enjoyed the rest of the space to run the city.
