Tuesday, November 22, 2022 –Beleaguered Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza may soon face an impeachment as County Assembly Members MCAs have already signed a petition to oust her from office.
Barely two months since her wearing in, 68 out of 69 MCAs led by the Minority Chief Whip also Abogeta West MCA, Dennis Kiogora, have cited open gross misconduct as part of the main reasons they can nolonger entertain her in office.
They say since taking office, the high-handed governor has left the county not only exposed but also soiled in reputation.
That if she is allowed to carry on with her way of leadership, the electorates will be subjected to both suffering and underdevelopment for the next five years.
Governor Kawira Mwangaza became a national sensation after beating two renowned politicians- Kiraitu Murungi who was the incumbent and the then senator Mithika Linturi in the 2022 gubernatorial race.
She would then be sworn-in and immediately started showing her true colours by bringing her man to the top of county leadership; what did not go down well with a larger section of residents.
