Monday, November 21, 2022 –Sirisia Member of Parliament, John Waluke, today Wednesday several leaders from Western Region to a meeting organised by Prime Cabinet Minister Musalia Mudavadi.
The Western Region Caucus chairman took the colleagues to the morning meeting presided over by the Amani National Congress ANC Party founder to discuss development and leadership.
Those who attended the meeting included those who were elected through Azimio la Umoja in the last election.
“If I stepped on you, forgive me. It has been a game of politics but it’s time we all put that behind us and forge a united team.
“Elections are over and it’s time to heal, and hug each other and say ‘sorry it was just elections’ and move on for the sake of development of our communities. I, therefore, cannot overemphasize the need to work together, even if we don’t like each other,” Musalia stated.
Their discussion underscored the need to remain united so that to be able to champion for their interests as a region.
Conspicuously missing was the current speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula who, instead, chose to send his apologies.
Present in the meeting were Titus Khamala (Lurambi), Tindi Mwale (Butere), Caleb Amisi (Saboti) and Christopher Aseka (Khwisero).
Others are Senators Boni Khalwale (Kakamega), Okiya Omtatah (Busia), Allan Chesang’ (Trans Nzoia) among others.
The politicians were fetched from Western Region counties of Vihiga, Kakamega, Busia, Bungoma and Trans Nzoia as well as those from Nairobi.
