A man who killed wife by dowsing her body with petrol before setting it ablaze felt the wrath of his daughter during a court session in Bomet.
His 21 year old daughter, Anita, who was waiting from outside confronted the suspect in full glare of camera by asking him(father) why he killed their mother Emmy Mitei in a such cruel manner.
Robert Tonui was appearing before Justice Roselyne Korir’s for charges of murdering his wife who was a head teacher at Cheptalal Primary School which charges he denied.
Immediately after he had taken his plea by denying having committed the heinous offense, her angry daughter jumped into the scene shouting abusive words at him.
“Why did you kill our mother? Why did you make us part orphans after all the years of psychological torture? Who will take care of us? Her spirits will hound you to the end,” she shouted as members of the family moved closer.
Before her death, Emmy had sustained 97% burns which she later succumbed to while on treatment.
Reports indicated that she had left behind seven children among them Anita.
