Migori Governor Okoth Obado is strong on the ground and it seems he has been using his loot well to maintain a firm grip on Members of County Assembly MCAs.
Orange Democratic Movement ODM Chairman who is also Minority leader in the National assembly John Mbadi has, not once, confessed how it will not be a walk in the park to impeach Mr. Obado.

And yesterday Thursday September 3rd, Mbadi further asked the State to offer security to Migori MCAs since Obado had started raining terror on some who tried to talk about his ouster.
“We want the national government to protect our MCAs in Migori,” Mbadi said warning Obado to stop threatening those opposed to his leadership.
It is said that Raila Odinga has no clear numbers in Migori County and mobilizing the local MCAs to beat Obado may be a tall order.
Just after he was released from cell where he spent the rest of his last weekend with children, Obado went to Ramogi FM and affirmed that Raila Odinga had no numbers in his county and he will teach them a lesson during his impeachment.
Obado then took issue with ODM leadership which he claimed was also using dirty tricks to make sure he leaves office before court decided on his fate.
“Mbadi told MCAs that the decision to impeach me was directed by Government and that police will be availed in large numbers at the assembly, which I see as intimidation and dictatorship to subvert the will of Migori residents,” said Governor Obado.
The embattled governor will only be removed from office if 43 out of 57 MCAs will support the motion to impeach him.
He is accused of many crimes including alleged murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno alongside her unborn baby and theft of public funds from county coffers.
