VOCAL FORMER ELECTORAL COMMISSIONER Roselyn Akombe has left her US job back to Africa. She has announced.
Through her personal Twitter Handle, Akombe noted that she had left the US where she worked as a top policy maker at the Policy and Mediation Division in the United Nations UN.
And in her new Africa role, she confirmed the rumour that shehad traveled back home as a coordinator in peace building with the United Nations Development Program UNDP.
“Thrilled to join the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) today as the Governance and Peace-building Africa Coordinator at the Regional Hub in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia,” she stated in a tweet.
According to her fresh Monday January 4th post, the new role is what she is more compassionate with and she will now be able to save more suffering lives in Africa.
“After 14 years on the political side of the UN family, glad to switch to my other passion development,” Akombe added.

Akombe who is also an advocate for protection of Human Rights has previously worked with the African Union AU as an economist.
She resigned from the IEBC following election’s controversial results that were announced in 2013 and subsequent threats to her life. She would then continue with her activism but this time online with intentions of unearthing the bare truth about what exactly transpired before Uhuru and Ruto were sworn to power.
